"Through my work studying plants, teaching, and counseling, I have significantly contributed to the Ethiopian educational system. As an adviser, I aim to promote professional development in my field. My research mainly focuses on understanding how plants respond to environmental changes, the impact of abiotic stress on plant phenotype, and the elasticity of plant roots. By studying these factors and their combination, I can better understand the long-term human influences affecting plant selection in Ethiopia.

My enthusiasm for this work is fueled by the realization that low yields in Ethiopia are primarily due to the shortage of high-quality seeds and plant nutrients. Therefore, I focus on selecting better plants for different climates by studying how crop plants form their roots and transmit nutrients. I used cutting-edge technologies like Genomics, Genetic Engineering, and Genome Editing. "
